Study Permit Exemptions

In Canada, regardless of the level and type of studies, persons wanting to study in Canada may require a study permit granting them authorization. Whether your studies are vocational, at the pre-primary, primary, secondary or post-secondary level; a study permit may be required.

There are a few exceptions to this general rule.  As a result, some individuals may qualify for an exemption.  It’s advisable to seek-out advice from a knowledgeable representative regarding study permit exemptions.

With the exception of American citizens, students will be required to apply for study authorization prior to arrival in Canada.
