If an individual has committed, been charged with and/or convicted of a criminal offence outside of Canada; then they may be unable to enter.

Refusals of entry to Canada can be costly to the individual and/or their employer, embarrassing, and distressing. It is recommended to seek-out advice prior to travelling to Canada.

Individuals who are not Canadian citizens and have an in-Canada criminal conviction, may be eligible to apply for a record suspension from the Parole Board of Canada.
